Cookies and browser storage

1. Browser local storage

Exportain stores two things in your browser's local storage, on the exportain.com origin and its portals:

• Sign-in token. Issued when you sign in and used to authenticate your requests until you sign out or it expires. Signing out removes it.
• Inquiry basket. The products you have added to your inquiry basket and the quantity and Incoterm you chose for each, so they are still there when you return. Sending the inquiries or removing the items clears it.

Both are needed for the feature they support and are not used for tracking.

2. Cookies set by our providers

Exportain is served through Cloudflare, which may set cookies needed to protect the site from automated abuse. These are strictly necessary for the site to operate and contain no personal profile.

3. Analytics and marketing cookies (only if you accept)

When you first visit, a notice asks whether we may use analytics and marketing cookies. If you choose Accept, we load Google Tag Manager, a Google service that in turn loads the analytics and advertising-measurement tools we have set up in it (for example Google Analytics). Those tools set their own cookies and receive information about your visit, such as the pages you view, your browser and device, the site that referred you, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.

If you choose Reject, or make no choice, none of these tools are loaded. They are never loaded inside the signed-in buyer, seller and provider dashboards, or on pages whose address contains a one-time sign-in or verification code.

Your answer is saved in a cookie named exportain_consent on exportain.com and its subdomains, so one answer covers the marketplace and its sign-in pages. It is kept for one year, after which we ask again. You can change your answer at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page on exportain.com; withdrawing removes the analytics cookies we can identify and stops the tools from loading.

4. Managing storage

You can clear local storage and cookies for exportain.com in your browser settings. Doing so signs you out and empties your inquiry basket.
