Alia is an animal lover, and because of this love, she turned vegan. In an interview, she said, “I feel passionately about animals, we also need to be protective of our country, world, and space."
The actress turned vegan a few years back and was quoted as saying, “When I decided to become a vegetarian, I realised that consuming dairy products was not agreeing with me and was giving me acidity."
Sonam adopted veganism because she couldn’t bear the thought of animals being killed for food and therefore, chose to abstain from eating meat.
The couple turned vegan when their son, Riaan, asked them how they could still eat chicken if they loved their dog. They also have a plant-based meat line, Imagine Meat.
