Alex Pereira, the Brazilian kickboxing prodigy, is now the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) Light Heavyweight Champion after defeating Jiri Prochazka (Czechia) by knockout in the second round at UFC 295 held at the Madison Square Garden, New York. Pereira, the former UFC Middleweight champion, has now become the ninth fighter in the league’s history to become a champion in two weight classes.
Tom Aspinall gained a first-round victory over Sergei Pavlovich to become the interim UFC Heavyweight champion. With this victory, Aspinall is now 7-1 in the UFC and might soon become the division champion.
