First Lady of the United Kingdom and wife of Rishi Sunak, Akshata Murty is also a billionaire. The venture capitalist holds a 0.93% stake in Infosys, along with shares in several other British businesses.

Born in Hubli

Akshata Murty was born to Infosys founder Narayan Murthy and Sudha Murty in April 1980 in Hubli, Karnataka. She was raised by her maternal grandmother.

Murty attended Baldwin Girls' High School, Bangalore, then economics and French at Claremont McKenna College in California. She has a diploma in clothes manufacturing from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandisin

Grounded childhood

Despite being the heiress to Infosys, Murty had a grounded childhood. She did not have an access to TV while growing up because her parents wanted her to make other activities a priority.
