While Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram lander is currently sleeping on the lunar south pole, the lunar missions of other countries are spotting and clicking its pictures. Chandrayaan-3 successfully landed on the lunar south pole on 23 August 2023.
India became the first nation to land spacecraft on the moon’s south pole. Therefore, it was a big achievement for ISRO. Everyone around the world, including other lunar missions, had their eyes on Chandrayaan-3.
South Korea’s lunar orbiter Danuri recently captured the “Shiv Shakti Point”, the landing site of Chandrayaan-3 on the lunar south pole.
NASA’s LRO – the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter released a photo capturing the Vikram lander shining bright on the lunar surface.
ISRO shared the image captured by Chandrayaan-2 “Here is an image of the Chandrayaan-3 Lander taken by the Dual-frequency Synthetic Aperture Radar (DFSAR) instrument onboard the Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter on September 6, 2023,” ISRO said.
