7 Winter Flowers That Thrive in the Cold

Pansy is a large-flowered hybrid plant. They are one of the best winter flowers to grow at home. Its simple and overlapping petals look fabulous and can be grown as hanging plants.

Alyssum is a low-growing plant that usually blooms white flowers. It is also called sweet alyssum because of its sweet, honey-scented blossoms. When fully flowered, these winter flowers fill the whole area with their aroma.

Calendula flower is a single or double-flowering plant. They can be mistaken for marigold, as they are also in yellow to deep orange colour. Calendula plants are frost tolerant and somewhat cold hardy and add long-lasting color and beauty in a flower bed or container.

Allamanda or Golden Trumpet or Buttercup flourish in summer with their bright yellow colour but can also be grown in winter till December. It requires less care and brightens up your garden with its creeper branches.
