7 Indian States with Highest Percentage of Hindu Population

With 88.57% Hindus, Gujarat occupies the seventh position among Indian states in terms of Hindu population percentage. 

Daman & Diu, with 90.5% of its population being Hindu, ranks sixth on the list. 

Madhya Pradesh claims the fifth rank in the list with a 90.89% Hindu population in the state. 

Chattishgarh comes fourth in the list as it has a 93.25% Hindu population. 

Odisha holds the third spot among all states as 93.63 % of its total population are Hindus. 

Dadra & Nagar Haveli with 93.93% of its population identifying as Hindus, is second among the states in terms of Hindu population. 

The hilly state of Himachal Pradesh takes the top spot with 95.17% Hindu population, the highest in the country.
