7 Indian Cities Among Top 10 Most Polluted In World With Worst AQI Ranking
1. New Delhi
New Delhi, which has been making headlines for worsening air quality for the last five days, ranked third with AQI 589.
2. Cuttack
Cuttack, a city in Odisha, with AQI 564 shares fourth place among the top most polluted cities.
3. Bhiwadi
Bhiwadi, which is located in the Indian State of Rajasthan, also made it to the global list with AQI 554.
4. Faridabad
Faridabad which falls in National Capital Region and shares close proximity with New Delhi recorded AQI at 495.
5. Meerut
Meerut which is the largest city in the National Capital Region after New Delhi and is also famous as India's sports city also recorded a worse air quality with AQI at 490.
6. Hisar
Hisar, located in the state of Haryana in northwest India, had AQI of 465.
7. Ghaziabad
Ghaziabad, which is part of Delhi-NCR, also witnessed severe air pollution with AQI reaching 450.
